Dr. Mario Festin is the Principal Investigator heading the team. The recipient of many distinguished awards and recognition as an expert in obstetrical and gynecological research, his background focuses on maternal and fetal medicine as well as clinical epidemiology. He is presently Professor of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology of the Philippine General Hospital.

CLINICAL EDUCATORS
The Clinical Educators are members of an education team located across South-East Asia and Australia. This team is responsible for the design, delivery and evaluation of educational interventions aimed at increasing knowledge and skills in evidence-based practice and building research capacity amongst health professionals in the areas of maternal and child health.
The education team is also responsible for identifying and training other health professionals to plan and deliver ongoing educational activities in their local areas. The education team will also be assisting the Country Investigators in the development and maintenance of formal and informal networks of clinicians in South East Asia to establish a culture embracing evidence-based practice.

Dr. Maria Geraldine Castillo-Torralba is Clinical Associate Professor (Section of Maternal and Fetal Medicine) of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology of the Philippine General Hospital. She is currently finishing her Master of Science in Clinical Medicine (Obstetrics and Gynecology) at the University of the Philippines – Manila.

Dr. Cynthia Anzures is Medical Specialist I of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Dr. Jose Fabella Memorial Hospital. She will be taking a fellowship on Obstetric and Gynecologic Ultrasound at the PGH. She is the Assistant Training Officer of the Department.
