Penang Medical College

Penang Medical College is the coordinating centre for the SEA-ORCHID Project in Malaysia. There are two sites for collection of primary and secondary outcomes: Ipoh Hospital and Universiti Sains Malaysia, Kelantan.

Ipoh Hospital

Ipoh Hospital is the site for collection of primary and secondary outcomes. The Hospital serves the local population of Ipoh and acts as the referral centre for the other 12 hospitals within the state. The hospital is equipped with modern facilities and technologies as well as specialist care and sub-specialist services. The average workload for a year is 650,000 outpatients and 50,000 inpatients and over 9000 births per year are recorded.
